organised by International Office of University of Twente

International Food Market

As part of the International Week at the University of Twente, a free international food market will be held on Saturday 6 October 2001 from 17.00-22.00, in the "Bastille" buidling. People from all over the world will bring food, snacks, sweets etc. representing their country of origin. Other cultural items may also be brought (e.g. music, drinks, posters etc.) Each country will get its own stall. People in folklore clothing will be present and a Dutch stall will also be provided.

It is planed that Yugoslavia is presented by the sounds of horns and trumpets and by the rythm of "kolo" traditional folklore dancing, by strong natural home-grown brandies and beans soup, by snacks "gibanica" and "burek", by flags and football/basketball/volleyball jerseys. All suggestions are welcome! All compatriots and friends from all nations are invited to come to have good time!
