Dear happy shiny people,

After...

Wishing you a happy new year, may it positively exceed all expectations you have from it!

...hereby I am sharing with you a few memorable details of the passing year...

...with a remark that some details might look to some of you differently than you would expect, and that is because that as of a few days ago, I have a new sight on everything!
I underwent the laser sight correction surgery, so that I am entering 2012 with a brand new fresh point of view!

 

2011 for me was a year of long term choices, in all the four life aspects ("existence quadrants") through which I am seeing this life of mine:

 

 The year began with a grave self reinterrogation about priorities and choices in all the four quadrants... no much photos from those weeks.

In March I took a hard decision to give up a commitment to the switch back to an academic career a did a year before, to sacrifice the living comfort in Groningen and to challenge my relationship with Jelena, and to resume a previously taken course towards the professional specialisation in requirements engineering, by taking on a job 200 km south of Groningen.

In order to improve the mobility according to this decision, another several month effort of face-lifting the house in Groningen started ...

 

...

... around the date of marking the full decennium since I left my homeland Serbia...

 

 

 

... and celebrating 36th birthday...

... and I had to undergo difficult parting from dear colleagues in HIT after only one year of being in a dedicated team with a noble mission of building a fine educational and research institute,

and from Neopost and Drachten after 5 and half years of service.
Therefore I was very happy to run Groningen 4 Mijl in the HIT team, as a symbolic first step of our prolonged contacts after the (first) farewell.

 
And as a consequence of this decision to, after one year of partial abstinence of the fully abstract analytical work, go completely into specifying business/information/system/etc analyses outcomes...

... in June began my weekly running from Groningen to Zeist and back.

 

 


Because in Zeist is where the Netherlands gets the most user-friendly, accurate weather forecasts from Weeronline.nl/ (and the whole world gets it from Meteovista.com/),

and plan their holiday travels via Zoover.co.uk/!

These are modern companies with enthusiastic, youthful, agile people,
that wanted somewhat more structured methods in some parts of the primary business process,
where my approach to business and information analysis, built during previous career, was a suitable match to the need.

And when you are in Zeist, you do not miss the most beatiful woods of the Netherlands.
 

And then holiday travels could happen in the second part of the year, with


visiting Serbia

 

... in the summer

 

 

 

... in the autumn
visiting Sicily in September

visiting Vienna in November for the birthday of the great friend Ivan Pavlovic...

...who shall play an even bigger role in 2012 ;-)

 

 

 

And meeting live the greatest Yugoslav pop singer of all times, favoured by at least 30 million people of Yugoslav origins, Mr Zdravko_Colic.

All these changes and journeys took place in a period of continuous updates on an "economic depression greater than a Great depression", under the popular name of the "debt crisis"... as we did not know that the economy of unlimited growth could never be sustainable, and that individuals of unlimited greed had a major say in the globalised economy=politics?
But we continued investing in our comfort=mobility through giving the final touch to the Groningen house.

The year end result of these investments during the current economic evolution: the most beautiful effect that wood can bring into your home, and topping up on the value of the house that already, expressed in the still dominant European currency, seemed to high to let us go easily from it.

But we are continuing making and exposing nice photos...
... and quickly learning the language of the strongest European economy.
However these December days came too early to practice it with our dear friend Daniela, who after one year of an academic adventure in the US is finding a new job in the same European economy,

returning closer to us, to our great delight.

 

A few years ago, when the year 2012 started becoming seen as a symbol of a tremendous change, I watched an interview with a Dutchman who was overwhelmingly convinced that in 2012 the pure love shall become the only valid ,,currency''. As of then, I talked to various people about this... and as the time passed by, especially in the late 2011, talks around this topic were becoming longer, opener, less abstract and increasingly creative. With increasingly more inspirational ideas from the world around (livingwithoutmoney.org/ or thevenusproject.com/).

 

Regardless of how symbolic these ideas are,

in 2012 I am expecting more and more symbols of pure love in  my life.
